ABSU: Social activism to politicking

promod03

Where is the ABSU moving to? What the keen observer of activism among Bodos has to say? Is it right observation? It was once considered one of the most radical student bodies in the North east region of India. The ABSU was once the top body of the Bodo people; one of the few organisations that not just worked towards the welfare of students, but also for the political and socio-economic rights and spiration of the Bodos. However, in recent years, the student Body has taken a murky political turn. State politics and dyfunctional and malfunctioning, massive corruptons by BTC rulers have affected the ABSU, weakening activism and promoting politicking. Is it right opinion?
